Legal Protection Insurance for Private
LEGAL PROTECTION INSURANCE FOR
PRIVATE INDIVIDUALS, EMPLOYEES AND LANDLORDS
We take into account your individual circumstances as a family or in a co-habiting relationship, as a single or single parent, or as a pensioner and retiree. Your spouse or partner, as well as any unmarried children under 27 in education or training programmes are also co-insured. Moreover, your domestic pets such as cats, dogs and horses as well as volunteer activities are covered without additional premiums.
As a landlord, you face a particularly high risk of becoming involved in legal disputes. Let our specialists in legal expenses insurance advise you and prepare an individual offer.
You can rely on our long lasting experience and competence.
ALL RISK POLICIES for
Families and unmarried cohabiting couples
Singles and single parents
Pensioners and retirees
The benefits of the ALL RISK POLICY include the protection of legal interests and the assumption of costs pursuant to Articles 1 to 19 and 24 to 24b and 27 of our General Terms and Conditions of Legal Expenses Insurance (ARB 10/2013) in matters of compensation for damages, contract law, criminal law, employment law, social law, road traffic law, tenancy and proprietary law as well as advice on matters related to family law and inheritance law.
In the personal sphere, we handle disputes in the areas of compensation for damages, contract law, criminal law and social law.
Here is an example…
Who actually protects you when you are a victim?
The world fell apart for our client Jean W. During a routine treatment in hospital, he was prescribed the wrong medication because of linguistic misunderstandings. The results were kidney failure and a permanent need for dialysis treatment. Subsequently, he lost his job as an engineer.
We helped Jean W. to obtain more than EUR 197,000.00 in compensation and covered his lawyer’s fees and expert costs in the amount of EUR 47,654.00.
Unfortunately, the majority of the claims reported to us today concern employment law matters. In this respect, we support our policyholders in disputes about leave entitlement, overtime payment, harassment at the workplace and termination of the employment contract and bear the associated costs.
Even if the cases can be settled out of court, lawyer’s fees can quickly run to into thousands of euros, which the dismissed employee would have to pay out of his or her own pocket.
Here is an example of a recent assumption of costs from our claims department:
After being dismissed by her employer, our client – 42 years old and team leader for five years with a monthly salary of EUR 4,536 – had to consult a lawyer to receive appropriate compensation.
|2 hours oral consultation||EUR 574.00|
|Drafting the request for the reasons of dismissal||EUR 1,487.00|
|Telephone consultation||EUR 186.00 EUR|
|Further letters and settlement agreement to the employer||EUR 2,326.00 EUR|
|1 hour final consultation||EUR 287.00 EUR|
|+ VAT 17%||EUR 826.20|
Together with the lawyer, we were able to ensure that our client received what she was entitled to, and she received compensation in the amount of EUR 21,960.00. Of course, we also covered the lawyer’s fees in full.
Did you know that speeding and drunk driving are often entered as offences on your criminal record?
As well as losing your driver’s licence, these entries can also, unfortunately, have consequences based on employment law. Of course, your legal expenses insurance from D.A.S. Luxemburg helps you in these types of matters as well.
We also assist you in disputes related to the purchase, sale or repair of your car and after car accidents, particularly in disputes with foreign insurers.
Our clients are happy that our legal expenses insurance is valid all over Europe.
Have you had an argument with the neighbours? It often makes sense to try to resolve a matter amicably. We assist you in finding a beneficial solution with your neighbours.
Disputes arising from tenancies and move-out reports are of course insured as well.
We often support our clients in disputes concerning trade work. These disputes can involve the botched installation of a new shower, or an incorrectly laid floor, a new kitchen or a newly planted garden.
The ALL RISK POLICY from D.A.S. Luxemburg helps you to enforce your rights in these types of cases and will cover expenses such as lawyer’s fees and expert costs, which can quickly run to more than EUR 15,000.00.
